Green Living Show
In February 2008 our class was presented with a unique opportunity to participate
in the Green Living Show in Vancouver BC. It was decided that our booth at the show
would be a globally informative exhibition based on Lester Brown's book, Plan B 3.0.
As part of the exhibition we designed T-shirts which would be worn during our shifts
at the show.
The shirts read,
"In Mexico, one of more than 20 countries with a corn-based diet, the price of tortillas in early 2007 was up by 60 percent. Angry Mexicans in crowds of up to 75,000 took to the streets in protest, forcing the government to institute price controls on tortillas." Plan B 3.0 p.40
Ironically enough our booth was placed across from the GM booth who were trying to sell people on the green benefits of their new ethanol fueled cars. For more info on the show visit Happy Frog. This shirt was done in collaboration with Stuart Mounsey and hand screened by Maggie Chok. Run of 20.
